Est. 1980, Orange County, California
Blue Knight Construction designs and builds custom pergolas and patio covers across Orange County. A small, family-run company of Master Carpenters. Every structure built like it has our name on it, because it does.
A Blue Knight pergola: engineered shade, built by Master Carpenters.
Our story
The owner and his wife Debbie started their construction business in 1980. More than four decades later, Blue Knight is still a small company of Master Carpenters, still family run, still building the way it was built on day one: carefully, and by hand.
No sales teams, no subcontractor roulette. The people who design your pergola are the people who build it.

What we build
One trade, done properly. Every structure is designed for your house, your yard, and the way the sun actually moves across it.
Freestanding or attached, sized and detailed for your yard. Real lumber, real joinery, real shade.
Solid covers that turn a blazing patio into the room you actually use. Designed to match your home.
Built off your home's existing lines, tied in properly, finished like it was always there.
Garden structures, poolside covers, and backyard retreats placed exactly where the shade is needed.
How it works
We come out, look at the space, and talk about how you want to use it. Sun angles, sight lines, the house itself. Then a real quote from the people who will build it.
Size, style, materials, details. You approve the design before a single board is cut.
Our own carpenters build your structure, start to finish. Clean site, careful work, and a patio you will live under for decades.

Before you call
It depends on size and design, but most residential pergolas go from approved design to finished structure in a matter of weeks, not months. The on-site build itself is typically just days.
Often, yes, depending on your city and the size of the structure. We have worked with Orange County cities since 1980 and will tell you exactly what your project needs.
Our own Master Carpenters. Blue Knight is a small company, and the people who design your structure are the people who build it. No handoffs to strangers.
It depends on size, materials, and design details. Call (949) 540-9608 for a walk-through and a real quote. It is free, and it comes from the builder, not a salesperson.
